McGreevey of New Jersey, elected this past November as a result of a major push from the NJ State AFL-CIO, all labor unions in the state, including the Union County AFL-CIO Council's first-class Labor Walks/Get Out the Vote (GOTV) operation, was a featured speaker at this year's National AFL-CIO convention. |

NJ State AFL-CIO President Charlie Wowkanech acknowledged the recognition of the National AFL-CIO for the impressive electoral efforts of our state's union members, leaders and labor organizations. The NJ State AFL-CIO's voter registration and GOTV ("Get Out the Vote") efforts were second to none across the United States. President Sweeney and the entire AFL-CIO saluted New Jersey's labor movement and Gov. James E. McGreevey for this impressive victory in our state. |
